4. What is quiet mode operation on Panasonic ductless systems (cooling, soft dry, heating)?

Quiet Mode provides quieter then normal operation. The fan speed is stepped down one stage from the original fan speed (High, Medium, Low) resulting in approximately -3dB quieter operation. The stepping down of fan speeds are not the same as High → Medium or Medium → Low speed reductions as there is still a quiet mode available during low speed operation.

Quiet mode operation is stopped once the following conditions are satisfied:

  • Quiet Mode button is pressed again
  • Powerful Mode button is pressed
  • Air Conditioner stop with ON/OFF switch
  • Timer "off" activates

5. What is powerful mode operation on Panasonic ductless systems (cooling, soft dry, heating)?

Powerful mode operation allows rapid cooling or heating to the desired indoor temperature. The internal setting temperatures will shift for 20 minutes to achieve the desired temperature quickly. After 20 minutes, powerful mode settings will revert to the previous settings.

Internal setting temperature reduction/increase:

  • Cooling Mode: -2.0°C
  • Soft Dry Mode: -1.0°C
  • Heating Mode: +3.5°C

6. What is soft dry mode operation on Panasonic ductless systems?

Soft dry mode is used to dehumidify the area. The unit does this by air conditioning for a minimum amount of time, which allows the removal of moisture from the air without changing the temperature greatly.

7. Do Panasonic ductless units come with a timer?

Yes, all Panasonic units have a built in 24-hour timer which can be activated via the remote control.

8. What if the main household power is turned off, such as during a black-out?

All Panasonic ductless units have a built in auto-restart function which reverts back to the previous settings once the power is restored. So the cooling area would still be air-conditioned if you are on vacation for example.
